I learn by building. If a tool doesn't exist, or doesn't work the way I want it to, I make it — usually a small command-line utility, a self-hosted service, or a script that saves me from doing the same thing twice. Self-taught, and still figuring plenty of it out as I go.

I'd rather understand a system by running it than by reading about it. Most of my work lives in Linux, containers, and locally-run AI models — and more and more, computer vision, which is where Viridian came from.

I'm genuinely interested in how far intelligent systems can take over the boring parts of a workflow — and I like writing up what I learn while I build it, over in My Research.
